Café de Angelo is a two-level hospitality space — café, bistro, restaurant, and bar — envisioned as a contemporary culinary destination where the casual rhythm of urban life meets the timeless character of European dining culture.
The aim was to create a modern Italian bistro that blends the spirit of iconic New York brasseries with the atmosphere of Parisian cafés, so the space could carry a single, coherent mood across every hour of the day.
A sculptural stone bar, anchoring two floors
The ground floor is anchored by a sculptural central bar clad in warm-toned stone and surrounded by a mix of soft banquette seating and freestanding tables. Natural wood on furniture and wall elements softens the structured layout, while stone flooring continues throughout, tying the space into its raw but refined material concept. A neutral palette of beige, ivory, and matte browns is punctuated by brushed metal accents and the soft glow of concealed lighting.
Architectural solutions
Café de Angelo accommodates 83 guests indoors and an additional 76 on the exterior terrace, which extends the dining experience outdoors with the same attention to material continuity. A mezzanine floor carries the two-level format upward, keeping the spatial rhythm unbroken from the ground floor to the gallery above.
A dining room built for lingering
Mirrored surfaces and warm brass detailing recur through the dining nooks, multiplying the low lighting and giving even the smaller tables a sense of depth. Checkerboard-tiled tabletops and banquette seating keep the mood tactile and unmistakably bistro.
